Special Thank You's

TSA-IL wants to extend a special and heart-felt thank you to all the TS families that participate and share their experiences, knowledge, support and love.  We would also like to thank all our volunteers and our contributors who give so much in such a variety of ways.  Without each and every one of you, TSA-IL would not be the informative, supportive, compassionate organization that it is.  We take our hats off to you!!!!

Without important Fundraisers, TSA-IL would not be able to provide all the services we do!

Donation Campaign

Thank you to everyone who responded to our Donation Request letter mailed in last November.  We especially appreciate your generosity in such a difficult economy.   Your donations will allow us to continue to provide support to those in need!  Don't forget, TSA-IL is a registered charity and your donation may be tax deductible.  If your employer has a matching gift program, you can increase the value of your donation!

If you haven’t donated and would like to, please feel free to mail your donation to:

Annual Picnic

Our annual picnic is the highlight of our year.  It allows for individuals, parents, kids, teenagers and other family members to bond with others with TS and to realize they are not alone and that they’re pretty darn amazing J.  Most importantly it gives them a chance to simply relax and have FUN.

On Sunday, July 31, 2011, over 80 people came together at Ferson Creek Pavilion to enjoy lunch, games, prizes, face painting, hear many inspiring youth share their TS experiences and learn some new dances moves!

A very special thank you to our Picnic Coordinators, Susan Fischler, Melody Logsdon and Lisa Biedron, and to those that worked so hard to make this a smooth running fantastical event

City of Chicago Support Leader, Michele Lehman
TSA-IL would like to take a moment to thank and recognize Michele Lehman.  In April, Michele very begrudgingly realized she was human and not Superwoman and reluctantly resigned from TSA-IL. Michele has been involved with TSA for 20 years.  She became involved with TSA-IL 14 years ago and has been a strong leader ever since.  She has served on the TSA-IL Board of Directors and is the founder of the City of Chicago Support Group.

As if that wasn’t enough, Michele and her family moved to Indiana five years ago where she has since become TSA-Indiana’s President while still leading the City of Chicago Support Group and their events – that’s dedication!

In speaking with Michele, she wanted everyone at TSA-IL and her Support Group to know what a delight and honor it’s been getting to know everyone and become part of their lives.  She will treasure the memories of the trust, support and love from each member as they shared such personal experiences in dealing with the challenges of life, family and TS.  Thank you everyone for being a wonderful extended family which provided the motivation to lead in two states for five years!

A huge thank you to those that contribute their knowledge, skills, time, compassion and many talents, our volunteers!  Our volunteers are amazing!
